Safety Den Finalists Announced!

SafeCare BC is holding its third-annual Safety Den, proudly sponsored by Points West Healthcare. This exciting Dragon’s Den style competition highlights safety innovations in both long-term care and home care and community and health support.

Three finalists will be selected to compete at the Safety Den, which will be held at the BC Care Providers Association conference on Monday, May 28.

The finalists will present their safety innovations to a panel of judges, which we call Safety Dragons. Questions from our Dragons, moderator, and audience will make for an entertaining and interactive experience.

Prize money is being sponsored by Points West Healthcare:

• First prize: $1,000
• Second prize: $750
• Third Prize: $500

At the 2018 Safety Den, a record 21 submissions were received for the Safety Den. This is a reflection of the passion and commitment of individuals in the continuing care sector to improve workplace safety.  Points West and our healthcare division sponsors the event and Tracey Cochrane, Owner is on the panel of Safety Den "Dragons".

Ken Donohue of Safe Care BC says that it wasn’t an easy task for the review committee to select the finalists, who will present at the Safety Den on Monday, May 28 at the BC Care Providers Association conference, in Whistler. The event is being sponsored by Points West Healthcare.
